The Premiership - Vamos to Ramos, Hello to Harry

And it is finally here, the headline that journalists everywhere have been dying to write in order to appear poetically amusing, "Vamos to Ramos!"

It was perhaps inevitable. As soon as Spurs Manager, Juande Ramos was given the Tottenham Board's full backing, a sacking was imminent. This sequence of events has happened many times before in football and will no doubt happen again. With just 2 points from 8 premiership league games and an early exit from European competition looking likely, Tottenham had to do something.

So what did they do?

The Tottenham board sacked Spaniard Juande Ramos and hired Portsmouth Manager, Harry Redknapp! This should be interesting.

Of the current Tottenham squad, Redknapp commented, "They have a decent squad on paper, although it's not a well-balanced squad, it's a squad with good ability, very skillful players, but maybe a bit of a soft centre. We need a little bit more strength and aggression about the team if we're going to survive. You don't pick up two points if you're that good."

First team coaches, Gus Poyet and Marcos Alvarez also leave the club as does sporting director Damien Comolli.

Clive Allen will temporarily fill in as Manager for Tottenham's game today against Bolton. Often when a side has a new manager, the team, conscious that they are now fighting for a place to stay in the squad, play a bit better. Lets hope this is the case today.

The Primiership: Tottenham stay Bottom

As the title says, Tottenham stay bottom.

It's hard to know what to say. Tottenham Hotspurs' abysmal season continues. Now the only team not to win a game in the Football Premiership this season, they suffered another defeat at Portsmouth, losing 2-0.

Portsmouth had conceded 10 goals in their last two games, but were still strong enough to see off their opponents. Goals from Ex-Spurs Striker, Defoe and the robot-dance man, Crouch were enough to seal their victory.

Tottenham have just 2 points in 6 games and are 2 points adrift of the closest team, Newcastle. Manager Juande Ramos is clearly not doing very well. Just when you think it can't get any worse, suddenly it does.

As a Tottenham fan, I have to admit, I'm now slightly scared. Please call me out from hiding when it's over.
