Family Fortunes - We surveyed 100 people (Honest)

We surveyed 100 people and asked them have they ever been surveyed for the TV show Family Fortunes. The top one answer is up there. Yes, the Top answer is No.

Have you ever met a person who has actually participated in one of these Family Fortunes surveys? My guess is, no. The TV show has been running in the UK on and off since 1980 and in the US as Family Feud since 1976.

Who and where are all these people answering the surveys during this large period? Must be tens of thousands of them. Maybe they're kept on some secret island somewhere. Judging by some of the answers given, some have quite clearly gone utterly mad.

Or maybe it's just the contestants who are mad.

Er yes, it's definitely the contestants, my mistake.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing - Week 8 - Lastest Odds to win

Wow! Austin Healey is such a strong favourite now he is almost unbackable. 6/5 is an extremely short price and the Bookmakers obviously fear that there is nobody who can beat him. Hmmmm, I'm not so sure it's as clear-cut as they think. Anything can happen in a single dance. Here are the latest market odds.

Austin Healey 6/5
Tom Chambers 3/1
Rachel Stevens 5/1
Cherie Lunghi 5/1
Lisa Snowdon 10/1
Christine Bleakley 16/1
Jodie Kidd 25/1
John Sergeant 66/1
Heather Small 66/1

A good outside bet would probably be to cover both Cherie Lunghi and Lisa Snowdon at 5/1 and 10/1 respectively.

Cherie has had two bad weeks with dances that haven't suited her, but now these obstacles are history and she will be back to full power. If she nails a dance, Cherie scores big, making her very tough to beat. 5/1 seems value.

Lisa Snowdon is not without a chance and at 10/1 looks attractive.

X Factor 2008 - Week 5, Odds to Win

Week 4 was a bit of a shock result with the exit of Austin Drage. Will he ever be seen again? Unknown.. such is the thin line between success and obscurity.

Here is how the final 8 acts fair in the competition.

Diana Vickers 6/4
Laura White 3/1
Alexandra Burke 7/2
Eoghan Quigg 6/1
J L S 8/1
Rachel Hylton 20/1
Ruth Lorenzo 25/1
Daniel Evans 66/1

Diana Vickers remains the favourite to win. Her odds are now even shorter at 6/4. Clear daylight has developed between Cheryl Cole's acts and the chasing pack. Not only are they still first, second and third favourites in the market, they are also strong favourites. Diana Vickers, Laura White and Alexandra Burke will be very difficult to beat.

Ruth Lorenzo still seems overpriced at a huge 25/1 with Daniel Evans the rank outsider.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing - Week 7 - Currents odds to Win !!!

Top Blogs
With the elimination of Mark Foster last week, we gracefully move into week 7 of the Strictly Come Dancing contest. Things are gently starting to rise in temperature as the contest now lightly simmers. As each person is voted off, the more costly any errors become for the following weeks survival... unless your name is John Sergeant of course.

Here is how the market currently fairs each remaining celebrities chances of winning the competition.

Austin Healey 7/4
Tom Chambers 3/1
Cherie Lunghi 7/2
Rachel Stevens 9/2
Lisa Snowdon 12/1
Christine Bleakley 16/1
Jodie Kidd 33/1
John Sergeant 66/1
Heather Small 100/1
Andrew Castle 100/1

Very little change at the top. Austin Healey remains 7/4 favourite to win and Cherie Lunghi, for the first time, becomes the most likely woman. Rachel Stevens odds go out a point to 9/2, but one guesses we are yet to see the best from her.

Heather Small escaped the bottom-two dance off this week, but that doesn't stop her dropping to become the 100/1 outsider, a position she shares with Andrew Castle.

The bottom two this week is likely to be any combination of Kidd, Small or Castle.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing - Week 6, Latest Odds to Win

Week 6 into the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Competition, here are the latest odds on each celebrity to be declared the winner!

Austin Healey 7/4
Tom Chambers 7/2
Rachel Stevens 4/1
Cherie Lunghi 4/1
Lisa Snowdon 10/1
Christine Bleakley 10/1
Jodie Kidd 25/1
Mark Foster 33/1
John Sergeant 50/1
Heather Small 66/1
Andrew Castle 66/1

In terms of movement, the market seems quite stubborn this week. Austin Healey failed for the first time to top the leaderboard, but despite this strengthens from 2-1 into 7/4. The Bookies can't seem to shake of the thought that Austin will win.

Cherie Lunghi is finally adjusted to her proper odds, level with Rachel Stevens at 4-1. Rachel so far, has looked good without being spectacular and hopefully there is more to come.

Lisa Snowdon looks value at 10-1. After topping the leaderboard this week, she is definitely the dark horse.

Predictably chasing the pack are Andrew Castle, Heather Small, John Sergeant and Mark Foster. Ignoring John Sergeant as he is immune to the bottom two, such is his public support, the dance-offs in the next few weeks should be combinations of Castle, Small and Foster. After this time, the contest is going to get really tight indeed.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing - Week 4 - Rachel Stevens

Even before the competition commenced, Rachel Stevens was the favourite of the female competitors to win this years BBC Strictly Come Dancing competition. Again, she performed almost flawlessly, but was outscored by actress Cherie Lunghi for a second time. Here is her Quickstep routine courtesey of the BBC and YouTube.

Rachel, who is a joy to watch still remains favourite of the women at 7-2 and Lunghi has gradually closed to gap and now stands at 9-2. Despite scoring higher each time, the view is that Rachel has the most scope for improvement with dance partner Vincent. In these competitions it always best not to peak too early as the viewing public always seem more supportive of people coming through or underdogs.

If Rachel is to win the sixth series however, she would need to topple both Austin Healey and Holby City Start, Tom Chambers. May she can. This years competition definitely looks between Healey, Chambers, Lunghi and Stevens.

BBC Strictly - Week 5 - Latest Odds to Win !

After the culmination of Week 4, here are how the odds have changed to win BBC Strictly Come Dancing.

Austin Healey 2/1
Tom Chambers 7/2
Rachel Stevens 7/2
Cherie Lunghi 9/2
Christine Bleakley 10/1
Lisa Snowdon 12/1
Heather Small 33/1
Mark Foster 50/1
John Sergeant 50/1
Don Warrington 50/1
Andrew Castle 50/1
Jodie Kidd 66/1

Austin remains strong at 2-1 with Tom Chambers and Rachel Stevens unchanged.

The significant market movers are Cherie Lunghi into 9/2 after two great performances, Heather small dropping to 33/1 after finishing in last weeks dance off and Jodie Kidd dropping to become the new outsider at 66/1.

Should be close this week with Mark Foster, John Sergeant, Don Warrington and Andrew Castle all sharing odds at 50/1.

Week 5 sees the women and men compete together for the same time.

BBC Strictly - Week 3 - Who is going out next?

It's week 3 in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Competition. But of course, you already knew this!

This time the men perform for the second time to try and remain in the contest. Here's how the Betting market currently assesses their chances to go out.

Don Warrington 7/4
Gary Rhodes 2/1
John Sergeant 3/1
Mark Foster 5/1
Andrew Castle 10/1
Tom Chambers 50/1
Austin Healey 66/1

Favourite to go out is Don Warrington. He was in the dance-off in Week 1, but saw off actor Phil Daniels to remain. Gary Rhodes is a very close second favourite, but as was seen before, he is likely to get a lot of public support. John Sergeant is also popular, so it possibly could be Warrington in the bottom two along with Mark Foster or Andrew Castle.

Something pretty catastrophic would have to happen for Tom Chambers or Austin Healey to go out. They would possibly have to rant at the judges for 5 minutes, do not dancing what-so-ever and then set fire to the studio. Even then, the public vote would probably save them.

BBC Strictly - Week 3: Changing Odds

Some minor moves this week in the Strictly Come Dancing betting market.

Joint Favourites to win now are Austin Healey and Tom Chambers at 3-1. Some money has been going on Chambers to win to edge him into joint favoritism. Rachel Stevens holds steady at 7-2.

Not much movement has happened during the week. Celebrity Chef, Gary Rhodes, goes out to a more realistic 66-1 as does John Sergeant. It is predicted that either one of those two will end up in the bottom two dance-off along with Don Warrington.

BBC Strictly - Week 3: Latest Odds

So now we are into week 3 of the Strictly Come Dancing Competition. Here are the latest odds to win after everybody has danced their first performance.

Austin Healey 3/1
Tom Chambers 7/2
Rachel Stevens 7/2
Cherie Lunghi 6/1
Christine Bleakley 8/1
Lisa Snowdon 12/1
Mark Foster 16/1
Heather Small 16/1
Andrew Castle 16/1
Jodie Kidd 25/1
Jessie Wallace 40/1
John Sergeant 50/1
Gary Rhodes 50/1
Don Warrington 100/1

Big movers in the market are Cherie Lunghi and Christine Bleakley both receiving positive support and are now placed 4th and 5th in the market respectively.

Jessie Wallace drops slightly to 40-1 from 25-1 and Gary Rhodes edges outwards very marginally. John Sergeant continues to flip-flop between 50 and 80-1. I would be very surprised if he gets knocked out this week though.

The top three in the market remain solid and quite frankly, the Bookies do not want to know anyone else. According to them, Austin Healey, Tom Chambers or Rachel Stevens will win. I hope they're wrong, there's nothing like a good upset for a bit of drama.

Week 3 sees just the men perform.
